Here is my bucket list for my dream weekend in the city – some of these activities I have tried and some I am still dreaming of. Yalla – let’s do it!
1. Find urban Zen
I would start the day exploring the green boulevards, spotting beautiful flowers, admiring the Plumeria trees and Ficus trees lining the streets, and listening to the waves on the beach. A run on the beach boulevard and seeing the sun sink in the Mediterranean are absolute musts!
For some luxurious pampering, I would head to the Japanese spa Yoko Kitahara in Old Jaffa.
A UNESCO world heritage site, Tel Aviv – also called the White City – has the largest number of Bauhaus buildings in the world. Walking around the city, I would direct my gaze to spot some of the characteristic Bauhaus buildings in town.
2. Explore Neve Tsedek
I would head to the Neve Tsedek neighbourhood for trend spotting, Anita ice cream, and visit the wellness boutique Lilka, a tranquil haven in the middle of the city and my favorite place in town. I would go to the Sipur Pashut bookstore, located next door, to find the best reads – Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari would be my choice right now!

3. Enjoy delicious plant-based food
Tel Aviv is said to be one of the best cities for vegans! I would spend a slow morning enjoying the vegan breakfast in The Little Prince or the fun and trendy vibe in Yom Tov café near the Carmel market. A day can’t go wrong if you start it with Yom Tovs’ Health salad.
For a romantic dinner, I would pick Asia, located in the Jaffa flea market, or the Moon delight sushi restaurant on Pinsker.

4. Dance
My dream weekend would include seeing a performance in the Suzanne Dellal center with a friend, or joining a class in Studio Naim: I would love to try Gaga for a real Tel-Avivian experience! https://www.suzannedellal.org.il/en

5. Indulge
My dream weekend would most definitely include award-winning cocktails in the prohibition-themed Bellboy bar, and maybe even a late night visit in Kuli Alma or Tepale. See you there?
